“I have always been curious about how things work and from an early age could be found pulling apart broken toasters, electric motors, lawn mowers, anything that had moving parts. Sometimes I even managed to fix them,” Brent laughs. “My mother didn’t thank me for all the grubby clothes I put in the laundry, but she never stopped me from pursuing my interest. When I was older I wanted to know more so I trained as an automotive mechanic. I love the challenge of determining what is wrong with something and then being able to repair it.”
The Company
In 2004, Lite Commercial Dismantlers was formed by Brent Mangos and his wife, Fiona, and operated on a small scale alongside their primary business. After the Christchurch Earthquake on 22 February 2011, they decided to close their primary business after 20 years of successful operation. Now all their effort and expertise is concentrated on the little company that was once just a hobby.
What We Do
At Lite Commercial Dismantlers our focus is on providing quality parts for Ford, Mazda and Nissan 4WD’s, utes and light trucks. These parts may be used, reconditioned, rebuilt, or new. Occasionally you may see another brand in our stock list because a particular vehicle has caught our attention.
After working in the motor trade for over 30 years. Brent now uses his knowledge to help clients find the automotive parts they require. “Helping clients gives me a lot of personal satisfaction. If we don’t have a part in stock we will try to find it elsewhere. Sometimes we can’t help the client ourselves so we do our best to refer them to someone else who can.” Brent is also kept busy reconditioning gearboxes and other automotive parts.
Although the business is located in Christchurch, we offer local and nationwide delivery for all our clients.
Committed To Quality
Lite Commercial Dismantlers aspires to provide their clients with quality products and service. All used parts are cleaned and checked where possible. “It is important that our clients feel confident when buying from us,” says Brent. “Some used parts I refuse to sell because I am not convinced that they will perform satisfactorily. In that
Lite Commercial Dismantlers has a range of warranties for the products they sell.
